Chrissy and George’s wedding day at The Barn at Tiffin Farm felt exactly like them: calm, intentional, joyful, and full of meaningful details woven into every part of the celebration.

Set against the rolling countryside of Charlottesville, their early March wedding embraced an airy and romantic design with soft pink roses, sage green accents, candlelight, and sentimental heirloom-inspired touches that made the entire day feel deeply personal. From custom hand-carved pieces made by George’s grandfather to quiet moments exchanged throughout the day, every detail reflected the love and respect they have for one another.

Their story began in a way only theirs could. Chrissy and George first met at the Great Beetle Hatching Watch Party at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, and from there, their relationship continued to grow through adventure, trust, and a cross-country move together. Even throughout wedding planning, they remained incredibly grounded and easygoing. More than anything, they wanted their wedding to feel welcoming and fun for the people they love most.
With a shorter planning timeline, our focus became bringing together a trusted vendor team quickly while making the process feel seamless and stress-free from start to finish. We handled vendor sourcing, communication, logistics, timeline management, and full wedding day coordination so Chrissy and George could stay present throughout the experience and fully enjoy their season of engagement.
The overall design leaned soft and timeless with airy florals featuring light pink roses in honor of Chrissy’s grandmother, Rose, layered with white blooms and fresh greenery throughout the space. Sage green bridesmaid dresses and linen accents complemented the natural beauty of the venue perfectly and added an understated elegance to the celebration.

Some of the most meaningful details came from George’s grandfather, who hand carved custom table markers for the couple’s sweetheart table along with an heirloom-worthy card box. The craftsmanship and thoughtfulness behind each piece added so much warmth and personality to the design. Paired with personalized champagne flutes and a custom cake cutting set, the entire wedding felt filled with intention and family legacy.

Chrissy also surprised George with custom cuff links, a subtle but meaningful detail that added another layer of personalization to the day.
One of my favorite moments was watching Chrissy step out of the bridal suite and see the full reception design come to life for the first time. After months of planning and pulling together details on a condensed timeline, seeing everything finally realized felt incredibly special for everyone involved.
Their vendor team helped create such a smooth and beautiful experience for guests throughout the day – every detail came together beautifully.
One of the greatest honors as a planner is helping couples feel genuinely cared for throughout the process, and hearing Chrissy describe the experience afterward meant the world:
“I’m not quite sure how she does it, but I wasn’t once stressed through the entire planning process.”
That sense of ease is always the goal.
Chrissy and George’s wedding was proof that even with a shorter planning season, a celebration can still feel deeply intentional, elevated, and entirely personal when you have the right support around you.
